Bellotti S.p.A.
The evolution of wood“Wood evolution”: the company’s pay-off is the summary of Bellotti’s philosophy, which for more than 80 years has been working, with expertise and innovation, in the wood industry offering know-how, upto-date systems and first choice raw materials. This is the reason why Bellotti was the first Italian company in the wood industry to be granted, in 1992, the ISO 9000 quality system certification.
During the years Bellotti has been developing a knowledge and a wood culture allowing the company to stock up with species coming from all over the world, with the exclusive help of partners possessing a cultural element that cannot be given up: reforestation or acquisition through plantations.
In fact, in 2009, the firm obtained FSC and PEFC certifications, warranting the Chain of custodity, i.e. the possibility of tracing every single processing phase, from the forest of origin to the finished product. It is only when all the chain links are certified, therefore managed in a sustainable manner, that the certification logo can be affixed to the product.
Another step in Bellotti’s “green” path is the photovoltaic system which started to operate at the end of 2009: with its 10,000 square metres it is the largest photovoltaic system fully integrated into the roof structure in Northern Italy and the second one in the whole country and will allow to produce 1,026,600 kW/h of clean energy every year. Bellotti is the first company of the Wood&Furniture business industry in Italy to implement a system of this kind.
Bellotti’s attention for eco-sustainability then can be directly verified in the production of composite panels (e.g. Laricross®, Lariphon®, Larimar®, Laripan®), for which, together with wood, are used, among others, cork, a natural material which assures excellent performance, and PET cell foam, which is 100% recyclable.
Using top-notch machinery and first quality raw materials, Bellotti meets proficiently and professionally the needs of a market more and more often requiring materials with highly technological features as well as safety and reliability, and, through an efficient Research&Development centre, offers customized solutions designed according to the customer’s requirements.
Today Bellotti owns one of the largest automated sawmills in Northern Italy and can boast a pioneer sawn timber electronic management system (slabs’ optical measuring and marking as well as warehouses’ computerized logistics with barcodes and wireless connections).
Bellotti’s production is diversified in many fields, but the company’s core-business is the marine sector, where it is a leader thanks to products remarkably matching high technical and aesthetic qualities.
Bellotti is however a relevant presence in other industries as well, especially in building, furnishing, doors, windows and shutters manufacturing, railway construction, industrial bodyworks and sport equipment production.
